Travel - Hamedan, Iran

Hamedan, capital city of Hamedan province is located in west of Iran in a mountainous area with an elevation of 1830m above sea level. It is one of the oldest Iranian cities and was the capital of the Medes around 700BC.

It's highest peak, Alvand, has an elevation of 3580m which is within the Zagros Mountains.

On of the main symbols of the city is the Ganj Nameh inscriptions and the tomb of Avicenna.

Here are some of the photos I took during my trip to Hamedan.
